The original techniques were made for the policeforce. They were made
by not only Mr. Ohtsuka, but together with other masters from budo.
The police in Japan have a stick of 63cm. The stick is called keibo. Keisatsu 警察 means police
and taihojutsu 逮捕術
means arresting techniques. Keisatsu taihojutsu are registered in the butokukai containing 14 techniques.
in time, I will add an introductionay videoclip of keisatsu taihojutsu. Way of holding the keibo, basic techniques, some holds/arresting movements.
At our springcamp I have showed some keibo techniques that you can see in the video below. I called them keibo waza instead of taihojutsu because there is not really a arresting movement displayed. Such a clip will be added later as mentioned above.
