TRAINING AND PLANNING
You are welcome to enter the Centerparcs Friday 22nd July 2011 from 16.30 hrs. Training starts
Saturday. Every day the timetable of training is as following:
6.30 – 7.15 pre-karate training – outdoor. Bring running shoes
9.00 – 12.00 karate training – indoor
16.30 – ... karate training – outdoor
Departure is Friday morning July 29th before 10.00 hrs.
COSTS
• In case you subscribe before January 31st 2011, total costs are €295,-
• In case you subscribe before May 31st 2011, total costs are €350,-
• In case you subscribe before June 30th 2011, total costs are €395,-
The sum of all costs is including individual place in a cottage (8 person Premium Cottage) and the
training fee.

Who is K. Sakagami sensei?

Sakagami Kuniaki sensei was born in the city of Toyohashi, Japan, in 1944. He started training in Wado Ryu Karate in May 1959 aged 14 years, under Suzuki Tatsuo sensei at the Toyoashi Dojo. After graduating from local high school he entered Aichi University to study economics. During this period Sakagami sensei entered many University and all styles contests. He won the University of Tokai Area championships of Japan. This culminated in Sakagami Sensei being honored with the position of University Karate club captain, a prestigious position that is only held by the most talented Karateka. Sakagami sensei was awarded 7th Dan in 1989 from Wado Ryu Headquarters in Japan and recently received his 8th Dan from WadoKai Japan.

 

Who is P. May sensei?

Peter May, on of the most senior Wado instructors in Europe, has been training with Sakagami sensei for over 40 years. Many articles have been published on him appearing in Combat, Traditional Karate and Fighters Magazine. He was also assisting Sakagami sensei for years during seminars and demonstrations as well as in 6 videos. According to the Traditional Karate magazine issue 1999, Peter May is the thinking man’s Karateka, a rock solid example of personal discipline and dedication that infuses authority. Currently, he is the Wadokai England Squad Coach and Chairman of the Wado Aiwakai Karatedo Federation.

 

Who is N. Nukina Sensei?

After spending 20 years of Wado Karate training in Japan, Nukina sensei moved to Romania to spread Wado. He is living in Bucharest, the capital of Romania. Nukina sensei started karate at the age of 7 and is still actively training. Besides teaching in his dojo in Bucharest, Nukina sensei assists and conducts seminars of JKF WadoKai on European and worldwide events on a regular basis. His training was strict, traditional with logical explanations. He was a member of the national team of Japan and was trained by numerous of sensei, for example Matsuzaki sensei and Tsuyama sensei. Nukina sensei was twice ALL Japan student Champion in ’94 ’95 when he still studied karate at Kinki University, Osaka, Japan.
